Assistant Accountant – Construction (Sri Lanka)

Diversified private company looking for suitably qualified individual with good Inter Personal skills for the post of Assistant Accountant – Construction.
The ideal candidates should possess following requirements:
– Part qualification in ICASL, CIMA or any other equivalent professional qualification from a recognized Institution.
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar capacity (in accounting practices related to the construction field) is a must.
– Broad knowledge on the industry norms and standards.
– Ability to communicate effectively with all level of people.
– Computer Literacy including MS office packages
– Good communication skills in both Sinhala and English language
– Facilitate the timely and accurate data entry process for all subcontracts, subcontractor applications, change orders, general conditions and expense reports.
– Experience in automated accounting systems.
– Ability to provide comptrollership functions in order to ensure finances are managed according to legislation, policies, procedures and accounting standards.
– Ability to liaise with clients, suppliers and stores.
– Ability to work in a pressurized environment.
– Good analytical skills, problem solving skills and report writing skills.
– Age below 35 years.
