The Galle Face Hotel is looking for a bright, talented individual to join the hotel as:
Director of Food and Beverage
Experience (Industry / Functions / Level/ Minimum years of experience)
• Hotel & Tourism sector experience essential.
• Minimum 5 years in senior food & beverage roles in up market hotels.
• This position is open only for Sri Lankan nationals.
Competencies
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Solid knowledge of food and beverage services, products, innovations and trends.
• Provide positive leadership to all people within the Food & Beverage Service Department.
• Develop a comprehensive business plan for the Food & Beverage Service Department. To report and explains to outlet managers financial objectives and actual results on an ongoing basis.
• On a day to day basis ensure that all facilities, equipment, furnishing, service ware, physical inventories and any other physical assets within the Food & Beverage Department are properly purchased, accounted for, used, secured and maintained.
• Assure that the safety, sanitation and security program within the department is understood and followed by each member to protect the hotel, the company and the customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing (English).
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
• Skilled in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Academic / Professional Qualification:
• Degree/Diploma in Hospitality, Business or similar
* Mind-set – Balance & focus mind set
* Language Skills- Fluent in English & Sinhala
* Socio-Economic Group – Should be able to move with the guest profile
