A Hotel complex with 100 luxury guest rooms including 60 Deluxe Rooms, the Palmyrah Restaurant and extensive Conference & Banqueting facilities has staff vacancies.
Maintenance Engineer
• A higher diploma or relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering from a recognised institute.
• Sound knowledge of air-conditioning, generators, electrical equipment, plumbing, laundry equipment and general building maintenance is essential.
• 5 years minimum experience in a similar capacity is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Sinhalese.
• Male candidate under 50 years.
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours (Sundays and late hours when necessary).
Maintenance Technicians / Assistants
• Must have qualifications and knowledge of Electrical, Air-conditioning or Plumbing.
• Applicants should be below 40 years with a minimum experience of one year in a similar capacity.
Storekeeper / Stores Assistant
• Applicant should be below 40 years and be fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Good mathematic skills and a minimum of 2 experience in the operation of stores is essential.
Stewards / Trainee Stewards / Kitchen Helpers / Housekeeping Trainees
• Applicants should be male, below 25 years and fluent in English. Those without any previous hotel experience will be considered.
Head Housekeeper / Housekeeping Executive
• Applicants should be below 45 years & fluent in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of housekeeping guest rooms and public areas in a hotel and the ability to train staff and control linen are essential.
Responsibilities:
• Plan & organize staff for work in guestrooms and public areas.
• Train housekeeping staff.
• Roster staff.
• Supply and Control of Linen for guestrooms, banquets & restaurant.
• Maintain and keep stocks of room supplies, amenities and linen.
• Purchasing and maintaining stock of laundry chemicals and supplies.
• Purchasing and maintaining stock of all stationeries and printing items for hotel and laundry.
Receptionists / Front Office Executives
• Applicants should be below 40 years, fluent in English & computer Literate.
• Applicants without hotel experience will also be considered.
• The ability to manage Front Office operations will be an advantage.
Telephone Operators
• Applicants should be below 45 years and fluent in English and have a good education background.
• Previous experience in a similar capacity and the ability to operate the Telephone Board (PABX) will be an added advantage.
