Following vacancy is existing in our Sri Lankan office, Nor Lanka Manufacturing Colombo Limited located in Wattala. Nor Lanka manages four manufacturing facilities and we are looking for suitably qualified persons to oversee the accounting function of these facilities.
Factory Accountants
Job Summary:
The Factory Accountant will make sure to align the business to meet the organization’s objective whilst
ensuring smooth functioning of accounting related to these manufacturing facilities.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
a. Maintain quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
b. Ensure standardization of accounting function across all the manufacturing units
c. Monitoring and reporting on KP|s
d. Providing factory heads with relevant support
e. Ensure strict adherence of standard operating procedures related to factory accounting and inventory control.
f. Oversee the factory payment process related to payroll and procurement
g. Post order reconciliations
h. Reporting of periodical MIS
i. Provide admin support to shared services
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
– Full or part qualified in ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
– Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Finance & Accounting with knowledge of factory accounting preferably in the apparel sector
– Excellent working knowledge in MS Excel including macros, pivoting and other advanced function
– Familiarity with ERP systems preferably in SAP
– Excellent analytic thinking, problem structuring and problem solving skills
– Ability to build strong and trustworthy relationships with others and to effectively contribute to a highly collaborative work environment
– Excellent organizing skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
