Business Analyst
We are a web oriented database custom solutions provider who produces top quality bespoke software to Australian and International companies.
We are looking for a business analyst who is experienced in converting business requirements into wire frames / prototype environments and can write test cases to support their analysis.
You will be responsible for taking the business requirements for new products which will be integrated into our clients’ businesses, therefore excellent communication skills is imperative. Where information appears to be missing or incorrect, we will expect you to raise questions or highlight potential issues.
As this role is heavily biased towards data projects, it is critical that you have a keen interest in data generally, and how data is used in the commercial world, and understand how to interpret business requirements into technical requirements and be able to follow the data-flow path.
Essential :-
• Proven background as a business analyst
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Direct exposure to data projects
• Experience with a range of different industries, especially construction or finance.
• Experience of problem definition and process improvement
• Analysis of data structures and good knowledge of database table relationship.
• Willing to take responsibility for making decisions
• Independent worker who can find answers for themselves
• Experience creating Wire Frames (screen layouts) — with Excel and/or other tools Experience with a range of different computing environments and applications — packaged and custom
• A good eye for quality and attention to detail, but also the ability to see the big picture solution to ultimately satisfy the clients’ needs.
Desirable:-
• Previous development or DBA chills
• ERD modelling skills
• Experience working with Java environment
• Translation of business talk to technical jargon
• Excellent organisation and time management
