Assistant Manager Marketing Communications

You’re a writer, an editor, a strategist. You love brainstorming and coming up with new concepts and big Ideas. You’re excited about the future of digital storytelling, recognizing how much potential there is for brands and publishers to tell great stories in this space. You will work directly with the company’s marketing and communications team and gain great exposure working with the US-based product management and sales team! We are a fun, wacky and creative team looking for a driven individual who will help take our content marketing efforts to the next level!

What you will do:

• Content Creation and Management — Create compelling content aligned to trends and market opportunity with deep customer insight for all targeted markets. Content should support broader demand creation goals and meet the needs of stakeholders including PR and social teams, sales enablement and product marketing. Publications include (not limited to): email marketing, press releases, blog articles, magazine articles, thought leadership, product brochures, sales pitches, event presentations, newsletter stories, advertisements, award applications and case studies.

• Content Distribution — Create layouts on online editors and edit distribution lists for all publication and content while proofreading, fact-checking and editing drafts.

• Social Media — Drive content across all social media channels, grow followers and assist in developing the social brand strategy.

• Liaise with US-based teams to create customized content based on marketing needs.

• Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, mobile, video, print and in-person.

• Collaborate with the team on mapping out a content strategy that extends marketing initiatives.

• Develop a functional content calendar and conduct ongoing analysis of content performance.

• Work closely with the graphics designer on all creative material to ensure a consistent message across all channels.

Required background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English /Literature, Journalism/Public Relations, Management related disciplines or full qualification in CIM
• 1-3 years’ experience as a Writer, Editor, Content Creator or Brand Strategist.
• Proven track record of placing stories in respected news outlets.
• Excellent writing, researching, editing, and brainstorming skills.
• Experience working with various digital story-telling formats (text, video, slideshows, infographics).
• Terrific work ethic and team player mentality, capable of switching gears quickly.
• Stellar research skills and ability to familiarize yourself with new topics and industries quickly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Content Management Systems, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Social Networking Tools.
