EGUARDIAN Lanka , subsidiary of EGUARDIAN S’pore looking for a dynamic, independent and self- motivated HP POST SALES ENGINEER to join hand with EGgies , EGUARDIAN is considered among top three value added distributor in South East region who is specialized in Information Security and Data Center technologies. The Systems Engineer will help design, implement, and support server, storage and network environments, including but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, virtualization, storage, and backup. This role will have a particular focus on HP Enterprise Information Management and Governance Vertical. Also the Systems Engineer will work on project-based initiatives for partners and clients, including upgrades to existing infrastructure and deployment of new technology. The position will be the escalation point for each EGUARDIAN Partners Network and Tier 2 support for questions and complex issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate an understanding of technology as it pertains to infrastructure and applications and be able to provide design recommendations, perform infrastructure upgrades, deploy new infrastructure solutions, and troubleshoot issues. Individuals must be able to discuss issues on managed services with Partners/Clients and be able to effectively apply technical knowledge to a Partner/Client situation. Individuals will be contributing to Partner/Client satisfaction by providing Partner/Client with timely and responsive services and workable products.
We are looking for a System Engineer with following…
• Thoroughly and accurately understand issues and analyze the problem in a systematic fashion.
• Analyze each Partner/Client specific request, determine the underlying problem, and recommend proper solution.
• Serve as an escalation point for the Partner Network and tier two support and provide advance troubleshooting
• Understand and execute standard escalation procedures with tier two support.
• Experience or having good knowledge in Virtuatization (VMWare, Microsoft, Citrix, RedHat, Oracle) Technologies and Solutions
• Experience or having good knowledge in Cloud (AVVS, Azure, OpenStack, Private/Public Cloud) Technologies and Solutions
• Strong communication skills to be able to work with Partner/Client management and provide written and verbal status updates
• Experience in enterprise class backup solutions and technologies
• Research and develop designs, including strategic road-map for backup infrastructure devices, associated software and tools, ensuring enterprise-wide architecture consistency and reliability
• Provide technical project management on backup projects and strong knowledge on Windows, Linux, Unix/Solaris Server environment
• The position requires exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and the individual must possess a structured, methodical approach to monitoring and administration
• Evaluates products and upgrades for appropriateness of cost and compatibility. Oversees and implements system upgrade strategies.
• Background in implementing and managing storage infrastructure including major platforms (EMC, NetApp, IBM etc.), platform management products, and other storage-related technologies (Compliance, replication, clustering, archiving)
• Assist in the design of resilient, redundant, fault tolerant, and scalable infrastructure solutions
• Ability and willingness to learn selected solutions under HP Enterprise Software stack
