Finance Manager of Carsons Management Services (Private) Limited is responsible
to oversee the finance functions of the Group’s Portfolio and Asset Management,
Real Estate, Leisure and Management Services business sectors.
The candidate should be a professionally qualified member of ICASL demonstrating
a thorough knowledge of accounting standards (SLFRS/LKAS), taxation aspects,
regulatory requirements, and working within ERP-based environments. He/ she
should possess a minimum of 2 years of post-qualifying managerial experience in a
leading audit firm or a diversified listed entity.
The selected candidate will be mainly responsible to;
– Manage and carry out financial reporting and compliance functions of the said business
sectors including preparation of consolidated financial statements of listed companies in
conformity with Sri Lanka Accounting Standards and other statutory requirements.
– Effectively liaise and coordinate all internal & external audit activities and ensure robust
control environment to support the achievement of business plans.
– Carry out and actively participate in the preparation, implementation, and review of
business plans, and financial budgets by coordinating with respective sector management
teams.
– Prepare and present board papers, project evaluations, and related business plans on
existing as well as new investments undertaken by the sectors.
– Provide direction to the sectoral finance and accounting teams in accordance with overall
Group strategy and identify operating improvements, and deep dive on cost structures to
effectively manage costs.
– Ensure efficient resource planning including treasury management.
In addition, candidates should be ready to demonstrate his/her communication skills, and
prepared to relate recent track record of being a pro-active, self-initiator at the interview.
