Junior Business Analyst
SUMMIT Professional Service is a professional am of PEAK Adventure Travel Group. PEAK operates in over 16 countries and own around 20 brands which are market leaders in US, UK and Australia. PEAK is head quartered in Melbourne but is partially owned by TU! travel (www.tuitravelplc.com), which is a Europe based travel giant. Supporting the PEAK structure SUMMIT provides the global IT and Finance support for PEAK by maintain and enhancing the Enterprise IT and Finance Systems.
About the Role
The ideal candidate should be responsible for development and ongoing data entry of a shared competitor analysis tool for PEAK Brands.The candidate will continuously work with competitor analyst tool to provide insight into competitor activities for use by brands in Marketing and Product Departments.
Moreover he/she will be accountable for:
– Development and regular updates to competitor analysis documents
– Conduct research to find out causes for poor performing trips
– Summary key trends for each brand
– Maintenance of systems and tools to extract competitor data
– Ongoing analysis of Competitor’s campaigns/offers from regular review of their websites
– Spot-check PM competitor trip submissions for accurate like-for-like analysis 7
Qualifications and Experience
– Part qualification in CIMN ACCA would be added advantage
– Should have completed G.C.E. Advance Level in Commerce Stream
– Experience in data entry into a database or excel spreadsheet
– Administrative experience
– Tourism knowledge is advantageous
Skills and Attributes:
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to use Microsoft Office suite
– Self-management without direct supervision
– Attention to detail with ability to maintain speedy data entry
– Knowledge of small group adventure style of travel
– Flexible and reliable
– The ability to work in a team environment
– Previous experience in a Product role preferable
