Responsibility:
The Web Application Developer will be responsible for supporting and enhancing an existing application as well as developing new technologies. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. The candidate must be able to write clean object oriented code, and be able to create a complete project from scratch on their own. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
– The ability to work with line managers and other senior engineers, to deliver high quality software within strict
deadlines.
– Problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the product.
– A strong sense of customer service.
– Good organizational skills, responsible and detailed oriented.
– Self-motivated.
– Experience in re-factoring and re-engineering will be an added advantage.
– Strong English skills are a must (written and spoken).
– Optional/desired skills:- Experience in CakePHP or any other MVC based framework, Flash, Networking
Experience:
– Computer Science diploma or equivalent experience
– Minimum of 3 years experience in web development and programming using PHP, xHTML, CSS, MySQL
– A good knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax and jQuery
– A good knowledge of OO programming with good analytical and problem solving skills is required for this post.
– A good knowledge and sense of W3C standards and Web 2.0 pages.
