SUMMIT Professional Services (Pvt) Ltd is a professional arm of PEAK Adventure Travel Group. PEAK operates in over 16 countries and own around 20 brands which are market leaders in US, UK and Australia. PEAK is head quartered in Melbourne, but is partially owned by TUI travel (www.tuitravelplc.com), which is a Europe based travel giant. Supporting the PEAK structure SUMMIT provides the global IT support for PEAK by maintain and enhancing the Enterprise IT Systems.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Software Engineer Dot Net with a CAN DO ATTITUDE and excellent problem solving and analytical skills to work with the project development team in Melbourne to undertake development tasks to enhance the application and provide necessary support.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
– Develop assigned modules and fix application defects in a timely manner
– Develop enhancements/change requests to applications as specified
– Deliver the tasks on time as per the project plan
– Complete unit testing on developed modules
– Provide accurate progress updates at department meetings
Qualifications and Experience:
– At least 2+ years working experience as a Software Engineer (mandatory)
– A bachelor degree or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering
– Experience working with C#, .Net 2.0 (or above), ASP Dot Net, WPF and XML web services or WCF
– Experience working with SQL Server 2005 or above database, including writing complex stored procedures
– Experience with Crystal Reports or similar reporting framework
Skills and Attributes:
– Ability to work with a fast-paced team and deal with a variety of business stakeholders
– Strong time management and personal productivity skills
– Ability to interact with business and other technical resources effectively
– Demonstrated commitment to process and documentation
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
