Laundry Manager (Colombo)

As a Laundry Manager you are responsible for managing the Laundry functions in order to meet the strategic business objectives. The role involves development and implementation of strategies and policies and will include key responsibilities such as:
• Organize and control laundry and maintain all relevant records.
• Responsible for the proper handling of guest and house laundry and establish standards and procedures to ascertain quality of work performed.
• Regularly analyze procedures in order to elaborate on ways for improvement and institute safety measures.
• Check on production methods and procedures, issue necessary orders to correct shortcomings and take inventory and control supplies.
• Provide training to laundry employees and give regularly feedback about their performance.
• Ensure that laundry employees are knowledgeable about hotel’s services and facilities.
• Maintains the Shangrila Quality and Service Standards when handling guest laundry/dry cleaning to ensure customer satisfaction.

• have 3 — 4 years experience in similar role in a luxury hotel or resort
• have strong influencing & communication skills
• are a team player, dependent, highly motivated and able to work independently with a high speed of execution
• are able to train and develop people
• are flexible and able to adapt to challenging environment
• are computer literate and well capable with all Microsoft Office packages.
