Run by travellers, for travellers, the Intrepid Group is the world’s largest provider of small group adventure travel experiences with over 1000 itineraries on every continent, catering for all ages, budgets and appetites for adventure. Intrepid opened its Sri Lankan service centre in January 2013 to deliver shared services to the group.
We are looking for a Software Engineer .NET to join our dynamic IT team in Colombo.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills to perform the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Develop assigned modules and fix application defects in a timely manner.
• Develop enhancements/change requests to applications as specified.
• Deliver the tasks on time as per the project plan.
• Complete unit testing on developed modules.
• Provide accurate progress updates at department meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
• 1 – 2 years working experience in the .Net stream is mandatory.
• A bachelor degree or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience working with C#, .NET 2.0 (or above), and ASP.NET.
• Experience working with SQL Server 2005 or above database, including writing complex stored procedures.
• Experience working with WPF, XML web services or WCF is desirable.
• Experience with Crystal Reports or similar reporting framework is an added advantage.
• Flexible to travel overseas as and when required.
• Experience working in Agile Methodologies.

• Strong time management and personal productivity skills.
• Ability to interact with business and other technical resources effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to process and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
