ESKIMO FASHION KNITWEAR (PRIVATE) LTD. is a German owned, BOI approved enterprise and a premier supplier of sewn and knitted fashion accessories mainly to the European Market.
Eskimo is in operation in Sri Lanka for more than two decades having its head office and the main factory in Negombo and sub factories at Pallekele and Punanai with an employee strength of more than 2200. Our strength reflects in our rapid growth, globalisation of trade and acceptance of us by our foreign customers as a high quality knitwear producer.
Realising potential for development we are awaiting for the ideal candidate for the post of “Quality Controller-Knitting”.
Responsibilities in this role will be to inspect quality standards/levels and ensure final products comply with customer specifications, ISO 9000 standards, 55 practices and any other international standards adopted by the Company.
Skills / Competencies:
– Knowledge on types of fabrics, threads, trims and AQL standards
– Knowledge on quality assurance techniques and statistical control tools
– Ability to check quality specifications of Hosiery knitwear products Report writing skills Knowledge on yarn and its behaviours
– Strong leadership, motivation and decision making skills
Qualifitions:
– G.C.E. (Advanced Level)
– Successful completion of a qualification in quality management from a recognised institution
Experience:
– 2 years with an exposure in identifying and understanding the types of quality defects in a knitwear/gannent manufacturing environment
