Job Description:

As the Country Head — Sri Lanka engineering centre, you will oversee the entire product development, innovation, competency and capability development of engineers.

You will have complete freedom to shape the entire Sri Lanka engineering organization as a centre of engineering excellence. We are looking for an intelligent and passionate technocrat cum general manager.

The candidate would have experience in playing a leadership role in either product and services organizations in embedded or engineering software

The candidate must have 15 – 20 years of experience including 8 years of building and managing world class offshore teams and managing cost centers with at least 100 employees.

The candidate must have hands on experience in building and managing Product Development / Service Delivery teams in embedded devices or telecom or networking space.

The candidate must have good understanding and experience of industry -standard SDLC and Agile Methodology, tools and practices of product development. The candidate should be an engineer and preferably an MBA from top institutions Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills are necessary and vital.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Build and lead a world-class engineering team, through recruitment, development, and coaching, of top notch engineers
• Partner with other technology leaders and product managers to gather competitive intelligence information and influence product roadmap and drive customer engagement
• Manage day to day team operations, deliverables, and priorities
• Drive the innovation, development, and implementation, of product software, and programs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; proven success in meeting deliverables on tight timelines.
• Understanding of financial budgets, statutory compliance’s in the country
• Maintain external networking and relationships with Government and industrial bodies
• Support growth of business and actively collaborate with business development teams.
