PR and Community Engagement

Responsibilities:

Planning, developing and implementing a PR, community engagement and events plan for Zomato on an ongoing basis.

PR

• Actively seeking out and building relationships with journalists, thought leaders and influencers in the food & lifestyle, technology, mobile and start-up industry.
• Liaising with key internal stakeholders across functions to develop press release material, identify and develop stories of interest to the press.

Community Engagement

• Building and maintaining community of relevant food, technology and lifestyle bloggers and opinion leaders.
• Planning and organising events for the local foodie communities monthly and moderating reviews and interactions on Zomato.

Events

• Attending relevant events and active networking to spread the word about Zomato in Sri Lanka, primarily in Colombo.
• Identifying relevant industry events for Zomato to exhibit, speak or have a presence at in Sri Lanka, primarily in Colombo.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 yrs of experience in the field of Marcom/ PR (relevant experience in the Colombo food industry will be considered a plus).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer skills an absolute necessity.
• Legal work permit for the selected location is mandatory.
