Peak Colombo is the global service centre in IT development & Technology, Finance and HR for Peak Adventure Travel Group, Headquartered in Australia. Peak Adventure Travel Group is the largest adventure travel company in the world and consists of 20 businesses around the world and is part of the TUI travel group (www.tuitravelplc.com). Peak opened its Sri Lankan service centre in January 2013 to deliver quality service to the business.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate should be from a strong PHP background, with experience in supporting and developing software solutions for travel and retail space.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Manage, develop and optimize PHP and Drupal implementations.
• Coordinating with themers to release templates and custom functionality.
• Design, develop and review solutions to website incidents.
• Ensure all risks and issues are escalated to the project manager.
• Preparing and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:-
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT with one year industry experience.
• Extensive understanding of PHP 5 Object Oriented development practices.
• Extensive understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS techniques and practices.
• Knowledge & practical application of relational database design using MySQL or similar.
• Experience in the use of source control i.e. SVN or CVS or GIT.
• Experience with LAMP environments including interacting with a shell interface.
• Experience in perform in Agile Saum Environment.
Added advantageous given to candidates who possess:
• Exposure to Symfony, Zend, and Drupal framework.
• Previous experience working with web services.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to rapidly acquire new skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a team environment with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to adopt new workflows and development practices.
