Fixed Asset Controllers (Head Office, Wattala)

Motivated individuals who should possess with high degree of leadership qualities to assist in management of the financial activities mainly on the function of Fixed Asset controlling, who will be the key members of the Finance team in the Company. Being part of the Executive team and reporting to the General Manager – Finance; you will be responsible for the following:

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepares monthly financial entry of the Company’s Fixed Assets.
• Ensures Fixed Assets disposal are correctly accounted for and update the register/ system.
• Prepares relevant input into Deferred Tax templates and lead schedule.
• Manages month end closure for Fixed Assets section and ensues timely and accurate completion.
• Analyzes depreciation variances within the month.
• Ensures completeness, accuracy, valuation and ownership of the company’s assets as reported in the statutory financial statements.
• Performs the Tagging with Bar codes and verification all Company’s assets.
• Performs the reconciliation of assets against the Fixed Assets Register and ensures that they tally.
• Continually reviews Fixed Asset systems and processes and ensures that they are optimal and are embedded with relevant controls; proposes improvements as required.
• Maintains monthly Fixed Assets addition schedule and relevant documents timely.
• Maintains a low value and fully depreciated assets inventory accurately.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Preferred age between 25-35
• Educated to a University Degree in Accounting or Business (with an accounting emphasis).
• Should be fully or partly qualified in ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in the similar field.
• Fluent in spoken and written English skills & computer literacy (excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint) with experience working with an ERP system.
• Proven ability to analyze complex business issues and identify, design & implement effective practical recommendations.
• Multinational exposure and/or experience in an audit firm would be an added advantage.
