Beta Technologies is seeking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will support a growing Cloud company that builds private clouds (IaaS) via VMware platform.
The Candidate must be willing to understand SMB customer needs and translate requirement into Cloud technology solutions.
– Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, with minimal supervision and major responsibility.
– Proven track record of proactively managing, and troubleshooting infrastructure and network problems.
Job Description:
• Expert-level knowledge and experience in the design, creation and operation of Cloud infrastructure (Primarily IaaS — Prod & DR)
• Design, create and maintain end to end VMware Infrastructure
• Provide Lead engineer for post implementation support for VMware, Windows Server 2k12, Exchange 2k10/13
• Provide hardware administration for Dell Servers and Storage Devices (SAN).
• Apply security patches and system upgrades. Build new systems as needed.
• Administer storage solution and tape backup systems. Perform backup/DR maintenance based upon scheduled time frames.
• Provide documentation required for formal change control and configuration management processes.
• Create and maintain networking infrastructure (MPLS, BGP. VLANS)
• Ensure stability and uptime
• Maintain security and firewall configurations for access to the environments.
• Proactively monitor infrastructure performance, identify and correct any anomalies.
• Lead engineer, resolve escalated application and system support issues reported by our level 1 & 2 technicians
• Very good communication in English
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cloud infrastructure engineer
• Expert knowledge and experience with Server and System hardware platforms, which includes storage architectures. OS, and firmware.
• Expert knowledge of SAN hardware and firmware
• Expert with VMware technologies
• Expert with Windows OS.
• Minimum: VCP5, CCNA, MCSE
• Expert knowledge of backup and Disaster recovery techniques
• Excellent networking skills (Cisco, HP, sonicwall), knowledge of MPLS. BGP.
This is a permanent Job; Our new offices are located in Colombo, Sri Lanka
