An Australian Hotel Management Group is venturing into Sri Lanka for the launch of a Star Class Hotel GSH Colombo managed by Acostay Hotel Group of Australia, in 2013 located in the business district of Colombo.

GSH Colombo is on the lookout for dynamic individuals to now join their Maintenance Team.

Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities:

– Managing the entire maintenance department and assisthg the Hotel Manager in operational matters.
– Have sound knowledge in all aspects of hotel engineering and maintenance such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing.
carpentry, painting, air conditioning and refrigeration.

Qualifications and Experience:

– A minimum of 5 years experience in hotel maintenance/engineering in a star class hotel with the initiative to contact professional tradesmen should the need arise.
– Fluency in English is a distinct advantage.
– Experience with hotel computer software and administration software.
– Excellent organizational skills.

Technician (2 Positions)

Responsibilities:

– Maintaining all property in the Hotel including the rooms, TV systems, lobby, air conditioner system etc.
– Ensuring the safety of the Hotel through performing preventative maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience:

– Ideally, 2-3 years of experience in the hotel engineering field in a 5 star hotel.
– Proficient in all aspects of hotel engineering such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, carpentry, painting, air-conditioning and refrigeration.
– Those who do not possess hotel experience, but have knowledge and experience in the engineering field may
also apply.
