PHP Developer

PEAK opened its Sri Lankan service centre in January 2013 to deliver quality service to the business.

About the Role:-

The ideal candidate should be from a strong PHP background, with experience in supporting and developing software solutions for travel and retail space. Tasks and

Responsibilities:

• Manage, develop and optimize Php and Drupal implementations.
• Coordinating with themers to release templates and custom functionality.
• Design, develop and review solutions to website incidents.
• Ensure all risks and issues are escalated to the project manager.
• Preparing and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT with one year industry experience.
• Extensive understanding of PHP 5 Object Oriented development practices.
• Extensive understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS techniques and practices.
• Knowledge & practical application of relational database design using MySQL or similar.
• Experience in the use of source control i.e. SVN or CVS or GIT.
• Experience with LAMP environments including interacting with a shell interface.
• Experience in perform in Agile Scrum Environment.

Added advantageous given to candidates who possess:

• Exposure to Symfony, Zend, and Drupal framework.
• Previous experience working with web services.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to rapidly acquire new skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a team environment with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to adopt new workflows and development practices.
