Intervest is a software development venture with the businesses in Europe and in-source development centre in Sri Lanka. We specialise in the development of multi-product, multi-currency e-Commerce platforms for insurance, travel and financial services industries.
We seek applications from suitable candidates for Senior Software Engineer and mid-level Software Engineer positions in PHP. For this experience is a must. These positions are full-time and based at our office in Colombo.
Role:
• Develop robust, efficient and secure software products
• Deliver components to project time lines
• Complete enhancements as on – going development to a range of PHP applications
• Requirement analysis, design, coding and testing PHP technologies
• Follow good Code quality and standards
• Communicate clearly with the customers to clarify all requirements
• Develop creative, innovative and practical solutions
• Produce high quality, clear and maintainable code
• Work in a team-based environment across time zones
Skills:
• Fundamental knowledge in algorithms, OOP, data structures, databases, software engineering
• Strong in PHP, Codelgniter Framework and Design Patterns
• Experience in HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and Ajax
• Professional exposure to MVC, HMVC, Git
• Experience and interest in open-source projects and nosql will be a plus
• Software testing and quality assurance
• Knowledge of Linux/ Unix, Apache, MySQL
• Team work and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is a must
• Senior Software Engineer: Minimum 3 years experience in the industry
• Software Engineer: Minimum 1 year experience in the industry
Salary: Negotiable, based on skills and experience.
