We are a Tea manufacturing company with production facilities located in Deraniyagala and Gampola with head office in Colombo.

Assistant Manager Projects
The Job:
Assistant Manager Project is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all factory and process related improvements in tea factories and estates, managed by the company and reporting to the top management,
Main responsibilities of this job includes:
– Frequent communication with business entities to maintain up-to-date information on progress of individual projects, visit factories on a regular basis and monitor the progress of the development work.
– Assist factory managers on factory/ process developments and coordinate factory / machinery maintenance.
– Coordinate the design process of the major projects.
– Study the manufacturing process of the factories and identify, recommend improvements and coordinate the implementation.
– Participate in capital budgeting and annual budgeting of the company.
– Maintain up to date records on the investments made in factory and process developments.
– Search suppliers and generate options for development and improvement requirements.
– Evaluation and screening of improvement proposals.
– Post implementation evaluation of improvements implemented.
Qualifications:
– B.Sc Engineering in Chemical & Process / Electrical / Mechanical or Production Engineering disciplines.
– Language proficiency in English and strong computer literacy.
– Hands-on experience with MS office packages (mainly MS-Excel & MS-Words) and AutoCad.
– Posses a fair level of interpersonal, oral written communication & leadership skills.
– Age below 30 years.
– One or more of following will be an added advantage
* Training and experience in working in a food processing environment
* Knowledge in lSO22000/ HACCP/ FSSC certification.
* Part/ full qualification in CIMA, CMA
