Simatech Marine Lanka seeks a self-motivated individual, as an Accountant
In this position your key responsibilities will be:
• Preparation of timely financials of the Principals and Interaction with the Principals.
• Assist in the Treasury Management functions and optimize bank facilities utilization based on the requirement.
• Management of the long term and short term planning cycle i.e. Business Plan, Budgets & Forecasts.
• Review & presentation of the monthly management accounts.
• Study, draft, review and implement financial policies & procedures for the company.
• Responsible for all payments and follow up on recoveries.
You should:
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity in the Shipping industry.
• Be fully/partly qualified in either CA – SL, CIMA or ACCA
• Have strong leadership skills and the ability to navigate organization dynamics and influence others to provide positive results
• Have good experience in computerized accounting and knowledge in MS Office packages, such as MS Excel, Outlook, Word etc
• Have strong analytical, interpersonal & communication skills enabling interaction with all levels of management and subordinates
• Ideally be between the age of 30-45 years
