Job Details:

The Cúram Global Services Group works in support of customer projects being implemented on Cúram SEM platform.

– The Senior Test Engineer works as part of the Software Test Team under the supervision of a Technical Project Manager.
– Their work typically focuses on verifying that all requirements are met including specified functionality, quality and performance characteristics.
– The Senior Test Engineer should have a working knowledge of engineering and test processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

– Write and execute manual test scripts for new software features.
– Locate defects in software products through manual testing and log defects using defect-tracking system.
– Run automated test suites, interpreting results and logging defects.
– Retest defect fixes and communicate issues to developers where required.
– Develop understanding of complex business logic.
– Analyze product requirements and liaise with business analysts and developers in order to define test requirements.
– Highlight issues in software including incomplete requirements and potential enhancements.
– Review software documentation including user and business guides.
– Set-up and maintenance of the test environment.
– Lead the project testing team with regards to the deliverable and act as a single point of contact from the QA team.
– Status reporting to the project stake holders.
– Travel to onsite customer location on need basis.

Skills and Attributes:

– At least 5 – 8 years experience in working in a structured test environment on financial or business applications.
– Must have exposure to formal test techniques.
– Experience with the use of automated test tools is an advantage.
– Experience in leading test teams.
– Experience in delivery leadership of the all QA artifacts in at least 2 projects / engagements is a must.
– ISEB/ISTQB certified candidates preferred.
– Knowledge of the following technologies would be an advantage: – Client/Server Systems – Database Management Systems – Automated Testing tools – AppServers.
– Candidates should have good empirical skills, be methodical, and have good organizational skills and good communications skills.
– The individual should have the ability to work on their own initiative while at the same time contributing and working within a team environment.
– The candidate should be highly motivated and be prepared to work to agreed deadlines and achieve set targets.
