Proporta.com, a leading UK based design and Manufacture Company of brilliant and stylish Smartphone, PDA, Netbook / Laptop, MP3 Player cases and accessories, has an immediate vacancy for a Network Engineer
The prospective candidate should be a creative team player who can work well with our team based in Colombo 3 and be dedicated to meeting the needs of the business. The position of System Administrator, will be working to support the needs of the local office and development team. The role demands a good level of system administration knowledge and the ability to manage one self and prioritised task list.
The right candidate should possess the following skills:
• Ability to maintain an office network running Windows and Linux machines
• Some knowledge with Linux system administration.
• Pragmatic and good problem solver both in software and hardware
• Firm networking knowledge for both WAN and LAN.
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Some knowledge of Samba.
• Knowledge in Apache, PHP, MySQL, SVN and other web software’s is beneficial
• Scripting Knowledge such as Bash and Python would be extremely useful.
The selected candidate can look forward to an arbitrative remunerative package that is above industry average.
