We are looking for individuals to fill the position of Project Coordinator – Based in Mullaitivu District.

Job Summary:

Project coordinator is responsible for providing leadership for planning, implementation and management of the “Returnees to the Urban and Rural North Project” – (“RET – URN”) in Mullaitivu District.

Projects Coordinator is responsible for timely implementation of all project activities with close collaboration of beneficiaries and all other stake holders including government authorities.

Projects coordinator develop networks and partnerships based on organization’s program approach, monitoring, sharing lessons learned, tracking and reporting on all program activities. Project Coordinator will be accountable for the progress of activities and timely submission of donor reports. sharing lessons learnt and reporting progress on all program activities to project Manager.


• 5+ years’ experience working in related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of implementation of similar projects.
• Demonstrated experience in project management including budget and resource management.
• Community development and/or child-focused programming preferable.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English; fluency in a local language Sinhala or Tamil preferable
• Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills including the ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, social and political issues.
• Computer proficiency in general office software (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel. and Outlook).
• Experience in resource mobilization, coordination and negotiation and social policy.
• Availability of motor bicycle license.


Bachelors or higher-level degree or equivalent relevant work experience maybe acceptable in lieu of degree.
