Hotel Manager (Nuwara Eliya)

Position Summary:

He should have an excellent level of commercial awareness, who can build and maintain relationships with internal and external guests. Also responsible for highlighting short/medium/long-term issues to the Management and to help formulate solutions.

The Manager is also required to assist in the preparation of the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Support and work with all Head of Departments in all aspects of running the hotel.
* Ensure the premises are in operative condition as per category of the unit to receive & serve the guests.
* Ensure SOP implementation in all operational matters and check the same during routine operational checks.
* Monitor the co-ordination between all departments for smooth & efficient operations.
* Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction and service recovery process.
* Meet all dept. heads to review & train the staff to upkeep the human capital.
* Providing timely and constructive feedback to all direct reports as and when required either formally or informally.
* Monitor and maintain operation & overhead cost in order to maintain maximum revenue to the organization.
* Be on available on call 24 hours a day to resolve any urgent problems on emergencies.
* Responsible for the overall management of the operation of the hotel.

Pre-Requisites:

* Male Candidate, age of 40- 50 years.
* Over 15 years of experience as an hotelier preferably specialized in Food & Beverage.
* Minimum 3 to 4 years work experience in a star class hotel as an Operations Manager or Hotel Manager.
* Excellent revenue management skills with experience of budgets, P&L’s and forecasting.
* Working with colleagues to share skills, knowledge, resources and networks.
* Highly focused, have excellent communication skills; be motivated and professional in appearance and presentation.

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset or Graduates bachelor degree and/or diploma in hotel or other related field. Computer Knowledge, MS office.

Accountant (Colombo) // Assistant Accountant (Galle)

The Accountant must analyses financial information and prepares financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the hotel. The accountant will have to undergo variety of administrative roles within the hotels’ operations and may consist of primarily financial data collection, entry and report generation to company’s financial data to people within and outside the business. Generally, the accountant also has to deal with third parties, such as vendors, customers and financial institutions.

The suitable candidate must be:

* A candidate between 30 to 45 years.
* Full or partly qualified in accountancy at a recognized institution (ICASL/ACCA/CIMA) or Accountancy degree from recognized University is a must.
* Previous and current experience with minimum 7 years in Accounting and finance with minimum 3 years experience as an Accountant.
* Experience in a four-star class hotel would be an added advantage.
* High level proficiency in accounting software applications (ACCPAC desirable), and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word PowerPoint).
* Thorough knowledge of local financial regulations and laws.
* Competent in English, oral and written.
* Thorough understanding of contracts and management agreements.
* Task oriented with an overriding ability to think and act strategically.
* Ability to complete all assigned tasks and projects within prescribed timelines.
* Financial auditing skills, inquisitive and result focused.
* Ability to identify and drive outcomes that focus on value creation.
* Principled and possesses sound business ethics and Honesty in all dealings is a must.
* Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.

Receptionists

Requirements:

• Previous experience of 2 years in a reputed Hotel customer service function or in a similar role.
• A passion for delivering an exceptional level of Guest service.
• Fluent in English and High level of IT proficiency is must.
